Architecting CF Applications for Multiple UI Technologies

The options for web application user interface technologies have never been richer (pun intended), but with things on the front end of the web changing at a furious pace, how do you future-proof all the hard work you do on the backend of your applications? Is it even possible to drive all the various UI technologies with a single CFML-based business logic layer, and build it in such a way that future UI technologies can take advantage of it?
Luckily this is more than a pipe dream, and it's relatively easy to do with a bit of planning and a few key bits of knowledge about layered application architecture. In this presentation you'll learn how to architect your CFML applications in such a way that you can take advantage of HTML, AJAX, Flex, and even AIR user interfaces, all without changing a single line of code in the backend of your application.
Bio:
Matt Woodward is Principal Information Technology Specialist at the Office of the Sergeant at Arms of the United States Senate in Washington, D.C. He is a Certified ColdFusion developer, has been working with ColdFusion since 1996, and blogs frequently about OO development and software architecture (http://www.mattwoodward.com/blog). In addition to his ColdFusion work, Matt also develops in Flex, Java, and C#. Matt is the release coordinator and a contributing developer for the Mach-II framework, he is on the editorial board of the ColdFusion Developer's Journal, and he also co-hosts the ColdFusion Weekly Podcast (http://www.coldfusionweekly.com).
